Leap to Know respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights, in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who we are
Our website address is: https://leaptoknow.com.
Information we collect
When you contact us through our contact form, we collect the name, email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this only to respond to you.
Our website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our contact form from spam and abuse. This service may process limited technical information about your visit in order to confirm that you are a genuine visitor. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Our apps
Our educational apps are downloaded through the Google Play Store. Any information handled during download is subject to Google’s own privacy policy.
Our apps are designed to work entirely offline. Any information about a child’s learning progress is stored only on the device itself and is never sent to us or to anyone else. We do not collect, receive or have access to this data.
As a child works, the app saves screenshots of their progress and creations — such as their writing, drawings and colouring — so that the child, parent or teacher can look back at what they have done. These screenshots are stored only on the device and are never sent to us or anyone else.
Our apps use the device’s camera as a live mirror, so children can watch themselves while practising sounds, words and sentences. This image is shown on screen in real time only — no photographs or video recordings are ever made, stored or transmitted.
Children’s privacy
We are mindful that our audience includes children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. Any information submitted through our contact form is expected to come from a parent, teacher or other adult. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
How we protect information
We take reasonable measures to keep your information secure, and we keep it only for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry.
Cookies
Our website uses a small number of cookies to help it work properly — for example, to remember your language preference and to help protect our contact form from spam. These cookies do not identify you personally. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to request that we correct it, and to ask us to delete it. To make any such request, please reach us through the details on our Contact page.
Links to other websites
Our website and apps may link to other sites, such as the Google Play Store or external resources. Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, with the date of the most recent update shown below.
